5 Reasons why you Should Avoid Bad Pick-Up Lines

Bad pick up lines are everywhere, here’s why you should avoid them at all costs!

If you and your buddies decide to hit the town, you should really make an effort to be using chat-up lines that aren’t terrible. That can be a challenge – but here are some reasons WHY you should.

1. They Make You Look Uncreative

A woman won’t see you as the Casanova you see yourself if you’re rolling up complimenting her shoes, then asking her to fornicate. She’ll probably throw a drink in your face. Human interaction is multifaceted – why would you cut yourself off at the knees just to play it safe? Not cool.

If you’re the kind of guy who’d trumpet out old pick-up lines, what are you going to do on a date? Take her to see ‘The Bridges of Madison County’?

2. They Make You Look Desperate

Women don’t want a man who doesn’t have access to any other women. Women want a man who’d be able to attract the woman that he wants to. Pick-up lines make it look less likely you’d be able to do that, and more likely that you’d spend your time on the internet trying to think of things to say.

That is not an attractive quality, unless you’re going for a girl who also would spend their time on the internet trying to think of things to say.

3. Nobody Wants To Hear Them

Seriously. People would much rather be engaged in a good conversation than hear somebody parrot back pick-up lines that they heard in a book. Additionally, it makes you look like you don’t really put much thought into your social interactions – especially if you think they’re all going to run the same way. That people are essentially golfballs.

4. You Could Do Better

A bad pick-up line? Really? You might as well waltz into a bar with a feather boa and a giant pimp chalice. That would get you more attention than using lines that nobody cares about to initiative conversations that are clearly going to be superficial. You’re a creative person. Think of something better.

5. First Impressions Are Everything

If you want to leave the first impression that you’re a guy who will stroll into a party and make himself known to use bad-pick up lines, by all means do it. Otherwise, if you don’t want to appear socially unintelligent – don’t.
