Really, when you set out to go out with your friends or by yourself, a set series of lines in mind isn’t going to be the most effective way to go about doing things. Rather, getting yourself in the right state of mind to go out and meet people, making sure you’re having a good time and always adding value to your interactions, and not putting too much pressure on yourself to perform will ensure that you have a better time.
How do you actually use pick-up lines effectively?
Match the situation
Simple. Make sure when you use a line, it’s congruent with the situation at hand. If you’re stealing them from books like ‘The Game’ or using the same lines that millions of men all around the world are using, chances are sometime you’ll be called out for it.
However, if you analyze whatever things are around you – look at the clothes that the girl is wearing, comment about situations that happen, make an observation about the way she carries herself – all these things are much more effective than using canned material.
When you use canned material, you run the risk that somebody else has used it before you. People will be skeptical. If all the pick-up lines that you use are ones that you come up with on your own while you’re out and having fun in nightclubs – that’s completely natural. That’s what human interaction is all about.
Deliver natural pick up lines
All you have to do is deliver the natural lines you’ve come up with confidently and effectively – nobody will even think that you’re using a pick-up line…unless you’re very obviously hitting on the person.
So you can ask them a functional question, observe something about them, comment on a situation happening in the bar, or compliment them.
All of these are easy ways to open a group or individual up, get them paying attention to you and get their investment. Conversely, if you come at them with a pick-up line you learned from a book that you read – your night might not go as well.
