Everybody likes nerds. They’re taking over now, making appearances in media, running the world, and motivating fashion in the direction that glorifies themselves. So why don’t we have more nerdy people running around delivering pick-up lines?

1. Wanna dance? I can really put your inertia in motion.
Inertia is the principal that objects in motion tend to stay in motion. Which means we hear a great song to dance to like something by fitz and the tantrums or dance-rock legends LCD Sound system, you can grab a girl lead her to the floor and tell her, ‘Hey. We’re going to be here for a while.’ All with a little knowledge of science. Look what science can give us.
2. That dress would look even better accelerating towards my bedroom floor at 9.8 m/s^2.
Do you know about gravity? It tends to either wreck us with age or make things that are falling seem interesting and fun. And if there’s one thing novelty pens can teach us, when things are falling, it’s sexy, and entertaining. This is an old variation of ‘That dress looks good. It’d look even better on my floor.’ But with science.
3. I know the spring constant for my mattress. Wanna take some data?
Constant – the physical attributes of something that remains unchanging. You have to see how things work – collecting data is the only way to do that. So take that nerdy girl back with you. Check out how your mattress works, or even if it’s fit for more than two or more people. You may be surprised.
Ultimately, the best pick-up line is still a compliment, but if you want to incorporate science into anything – it always makes it better. That’s why people are practicing it now – science will make your life better. Even your love life.
